I made this shelf to fit in an in-wall recess in the kitchen for my mother. The wood is hard maple and the back is Baltic birch plywood. I joined the outer case with pocket hole screws and drill the holes with a kreg shelving pin jig. I made the trim out of hard maple scrap I resawed on the table saw and used an 1/8” round over bit. The finish is lightly tinted shellac with transtint dye. I Like how it turned out and so did my parents! Let me know if you have any questions!
