My first couple of designs for these going away plaques was meet with positive requests. So I decided to a little different. Went with Bubinga for the legs and cross member for the Tori gate and Wenge for the top cross member. I also went and decided to add a tongue to the carved mask (I did not carve the mask)
Pic 1: is an overall from shot all with natural lighting of the plaque with the wrong ISO setting, not very well representative of its true colors.
Pic 2: is an angle view of the plaque .
Pic 3: another view of the front
Pic 4: is a view of the tongue
Pic 5: another view of the tongue
Pic 6: is close up detail of the Tori
