After speaking with a client who wanted a special project built for her husband, she stated “a standard box just won’t do”. She wanted something unique for him. He’s spent the last 24 years being a maintainer for cargo type aircraft and his first airplane was the C-141B and while that has long since been retired, it holds a special place with him. So I created this for him using Hickory and Walnut. She did not want it too large so the fuselage was shorten quite abit. I took a few liberties with the design.

This is really quite extraordinary! Unless one is connected with the Military, it is hard for the civilian to understand just how significant this box is. The replication of an aircraft that one has devoted years of service with serving our country is a very personal and honorable one that most of us will not recognize. There are so many men and women who have served, are serving and will serve our country that we do not know about and this is one small way to an individual to recognize their devotion.

Your design and craftsmanship have done the project justice!

Note to all Veterans: Thank you for serving our country!

This is a very creative “box” that took a lot of skill to create. Great job.

Beautiful “box”. Exceptionally well done. And I ditto mmh’s excellent comments. Very well said.
