This was built at the request from a colleague. Design wise it was more or less inspired by many google image searches on various kinds of pieces. Its all mortis and tenon joiner and hand cut dovetails. It was finished with general finishes arm-r-seal which has now become my favourite finish because of this. Its mostly walnut. Drawer internal parts are maple with baltic plywood bottoms. Some of the internal structure pieces are red oak. I wanted to do more with the inside of the vertical drawer (its for nail polish) but ran out of time. It serves it purpose. Tried and learned a lot of new techniques and tricks. It was a very fun experience. This would also make a great computer desk with some minor modifications.

Great project, came out very nice. I like the inlay on top, great job.
Question: what is picture 2??

Thank you! The second picture is a close up of the inlay in the corner. For this one my stock wasn’t long enough so I had to add a shorter piece.
