Chevron coffee table. Top is made from pear, mahogany, and beech. The legs and stretchers are mahogany. The lower shelf is made from American red alder. Two different pieces of alder with varying color and grain turned out pretty nice. The alder shelf lined up perfectly with the mahogany stretchers.

Used kreg jig pocket holes to put the base together and to secure the base shelf to the lower stretchers as well as the table top to the upper stretchers.

One photo shows the top in the middle of oiling it to show how nice the wood shines with the oil. I am debating if I should put polyurethane on the top to help protect it from spilled water. To be determined.

Finished the top with a mix of tung oil and boiled linseed.

Thanks for looking.
