This was a custom order I did for a gal. I first informed her that I had no clue what I was doing, but was willing to give it a shot, and if she liked it, we’d go from there. All in all, six oak pallets were dismantled and the wood sorted for the best slats. She was extremely pleased with the results I’m happy to say.

Thanks for looking,

Very nicely done. Many years ago I used a lot of pallet wood, mostly due to lack of funds. The thing that I found with pallet wood is the odd, irregular grain patterns and blemishes very often gave the piece a unique character that “premium” lumber won’t. Although most of what I do today is with “good” wood, I still lookout for surplus pallets for those special one of a kind pieces. Well done.
