Project Information

It's not to many projects where you get to use a chainsaw, a mallet from a mallet swap, chisels, a welder, and your LN #62. But here is one of them.

This was what I had before,

It was to low. Plus I needed a place for the blacksmith vise. This piece came in on a load of logs, and the inspiration just struck.

Sweet set up. I love that anvil. I keep looking but people want kings ransoms for them. Does the lower limb have a purpose other than looks?

I just left the limb as an additional shelf. A place to set the hammer so I don't have to bend all the way to the floor I guess.

Looks like a great place to swing a hammer!

That is probably the coolest shop log I've seen Don.

I see an anvil on CL like yours, I'd love to have it but they want $300 for it.
Nice setup there.

Great shop log Don. You could probably market those for some good $!

Damn that's one ugly colored anvil. Red would be easier on the eyes… :)

I could not find a decent anvil, so I picked up some rail and am using that. Smaller work, but it's hard unlike the crap they sell today thats soft, unless you pay a grand.

I was wondering about that mallet the other day and whether it was still alive. I use the one that you sent me quite often , it resides on my bench.
Nice work Don.

My back hurts just thinking about setting that station up. I don't even know what I would do with an anvil, but I want one.

Nice!

You made a great anvil stand there. I love that leg vise!!! The limb 'shelf' is a great addition as well. Now hang a quench bucket on the back side and yer good to go.
BUT, the yellow paint has got to go!
