I haven’t made a pen in over two years, but my neighbor is getting married next month. I asked her if she would like me to try to make her a pen for the wedding guest book. She seemed pretty excited about it so I gave it a try. This is a Triton roller ball, made with Holly finish is CA glue.. The box I made out of curly maple. The box is finished with Deft Clear Wood Finish, many coats, then wet sanded to 12000 grit micro mesh, the polished with Hut Plastic Polish. The lid and pen have not been sent off for some engraving, when they return I will attach the top to the box. I forgot just ho much I forgot about making pens. It took me a while.
