I built a mitre sled for my table saw and there is no better way to test it out then to grab some trim and other scraps and make some boxes. It makes the process almost effortless and more importantly keeps the fingers away from the chop say. I built tree boxes in total and stained and polyurethaned them. About a month ago I built a pair of 4ft night stands for my master bedroom and these willl be decorative boxes to sit on them. I did not want to put drawers on the night stands but opted for decorative boxes. And most importantly 100% of all the material utilized cam out of my scrap bin!!

Beautiful boxes. Somehow, it doesn’t seem right to call the materials “scrap”, maybe prior project extras. Either way, great boxes.

I hate using the word scraps and any piece( or size ) of wood considered gold to a woodworker. But I must admit all this stuff was piled under my workbench for many months and covered in sawdust. One of the things I enjoy most is creating projects for such treasure pieces. Thanks for all the great feedback , guys!!
