So on Thursday they come to me and say, “Hey, ah, we need a thing to mount a Trident on. Um, and we want to be able to use it as a winners plaque for a bunch of years. Oh and if we can put an 8X10 photo of the current winners on too that would be great. Oh and we kind if need it by Monday.” Sure, because that’s exactly what I want to do with my three day weekend. Actually it is exactly what I wanted to do with my weekend but don’t tell them. So here it is, 72”X30” engraved with the school logo, the event title, and “reigning champions”. I had to create the logo from scratch because my CNC couldn’t import what they had given me because the colors in the image didn’t provide enough contrast for it to pick out the lines. The lightning bolts are completely free hand. I think it looks a lot like what I had to work with (see the last image). They will order the metal plates to go in the big open space. Those will be 4X5 plates and list the names of the 17 people of the winning team each year.

Gotta love those impossible demands!

Great looking plaque—I’m sure they appreciate it!

Wow, I have to be honest, after seeing this presented at the track on Monday I never expected to see it posted here. Great job on a short order like that. I guess the folks on the second deck really are all about last minute and it’s not just a show to stress out the students.
