A selection of wine holders I’ve made recently. They are (in my opinion) really cool and relatively easy to make if you can joint and plane at all. They make great gifts at Xmas and are a good conversation piece anytime. I originally saw these at the flowertown festival in summerville sc. I was intrigued so I went home and tried to make them for about 2 weeks. Couldn’t get them to stand up to save my life. Went back to the festival this year and found the guy. Asked him to help me with my project and he said sure…that will be $25. Take your pick. I bought it. Turns out the angle of the bottom is where the trouble was. Cant believe how simple they are to make now. A great use for any thin strips that are around a foot long. Let me know what you think. Im in the process of making matching cheese boards and coasters tha t I hope to sell as a set.

Great looking pieces.
Don’t suppose you’d care to pass along your secrets? I’ve been thinking about making one (or a few) of these myself, but have had trouble finding good dimensions/plans.

Nice Wine Holders. CueBall did a blog on this a good while ago and I’ve made plenty using his method.
Could’ve saved yourself a few quid – Tumerboy, check out Cueball’s blog post for the dimensions etc.
