This is the sock application bench built to fill the big empty space at the foot of the bed. All mahogany walnut stained to match existing bedroom set. Used floating mortise and tenons throughout. I am very satisfied with most aspects of my Mortise-Pal for router cutting mortises. Spray lacquer finish. The seat cover was sewn by the Mrs and was stapled to 3/4” birch ply over HD 2” foam topped with a couple passes of quilt batting.

Usually these benchs designed for the foot of the bed do not include back support/stretchers. As this piece was headed to the kid/grand-kids house i decided to include the upper stretchers to protect against future racking induced weakening.

Very nicely done. Looks great! Everyone should have one, at least I should so I wouldn’t have to sit on the end of the bed to put my socks on!
