Walnut mirror frame with maple jigsaw joints

This is a walnut mirror frame that I made for our foyer. The corners are what I have seen best described as “stop lap with jigsaw key”, which I did on a cnc using some scrap wavy maple I had laying around.

I cut down a large mirror from Home Depot and set it into the back of the frame in a 3/4” wide x 3/8” deep rabbet. I then used a Logan frame fitting tool to push a bunch of points to hold the mirror in place.

The finish is General Finishes pre-cat satin lacquer, sprayed with a 1.0mm tip in my Earlex sprayer – 3 coats.
