My first commissioned piece....

was constructed back in 2010. This was about 16 feet wide and a beast designed to house a 70+ in TV. It required a huge amount of floor space in the living room. Made it in six separate pieces and fastened it together onsite. I was hooked on woodworking after this! Had to rent a 16ft Ryder to deliver it to its final destination. 100 percent solid wood : Oak , Poplar , Maple , Pine , and 11 ply furniture grade plywood. The only upgrades requested was bead-board and crown molding. Only regret is not adding lighting and building a wire chase to better manage wiring. I also wish I took more photos of the evolution!

Beautiful piece of furniture. I’m curious about the painted surface. I’ve tried to build painted pieces on a number of occasions and didn’t meet with much success. The builds turned out OK but the finish always left something to be desired. What process did you use? Did you spray it?

Sure looks nice, you could hardly ask for more in an entertainment center.
