This was a commission to be given as a birthday present for a car and racing enthusiast. While the majority of the cabinets design comes purely from its intended use, the door handles are from an old car and the drawer is lined with Alcantara (a fabric used in the upholstery and lining of sports cars).

The cabinet features a drawer to keep bottle openers, vacuum pump, coasters, etc. Hangers to store glasses. bays for up to nine bottles.

It’s made from solid walnut with maple veneered mdf for the interior. It also has the first use of my branding iron, which i made about a month ago from some sheet brass.

It’s hand finished with shellac.

Nice looking little setup. What did you use for the door hinge hardware?

That is one fine looking wine cabinet, inside and outside. I really like the shelves with the walnut edging, a real touch of class. Al in all a very nice project.

Your customer won’t have anything to whine about except giving it away. I just couldn’t resist!
