Repurosed Boot Bench Old House Shutters Cherry Top

I am fascinated by old colonial house shutters. These were saved from the dumpster when a circa 1760 colonial was being renovated nearby. See photo #5 of the solid raised panel shutters still on the house. The end panel is a solid raised panel shutter cut down, then a louvered shutter, was laid horizontal, with the louvers removed for the front and back. The original shutter slide latch (look close in center) is left on. New cherry top.

Nice bench. Just be leery of lead paint.
