id like to take a moment to say thank you to all the veteran lumber jocks,those from past service and those that are serving now,thank you from the bottom of my heart, without you guys and gals we wouldnt be here doing what we love,making saw dust.one way to say thanks is through the pen projects where woodworkers make and donate pens to our troops.i know many turners here already do that.but just take a minute every day and thank a service person you meet,trust me it means a lot to them.so let me just say god bless our couragous troops for keeping us all free to do what we love,THANK ALL OF YOU AND MAY GOD BLESS.

Dad’s 91 today. He served in the Naval Armed Guard in WWII. He also had three brothers who all served in the war:
Frank – A Captain/Bombardier in the Army Air Force;
Carl – Navy LST Driver at Normandie;
Harold – USMC
All survived the war. Dad survived the was and all his brothers.
A note about how people, in general, seem to view the old goats who are still with us: Every day, at least once, someone thanks Dad for his service, when they notice his hat.
He never leaves home without it.

I totally concur Mark. Because of those wonderful heroes, we have been blessed with the lives and freedoms we have. I have said many times, God Bless them that serve and them that love them !!! May God Forever Bless and Keep the USA!

I concur, if it wasn’t for them, there would be no U.S.!
