While I still consider myself more of a wannabe than a true woodworker, I've been buying books, magazines and tools for about the last 12 years. Most of my projects to this point have been more in the finish carpentry realm than real furniture making, but furniture making is my aspiration.

I work full time plus as Creative Director for a medium size company. There we create packaging, catalogs, ad campaigns, videos, web sites etc. Obviously that gives me a creative outlet, but it's the tactile reality of woodworking that I crave. The heft and aroma of the material and the lack of an undo command makes it much more af a true craft for me. Plus the fact that I'm the final judge on quality and not a commitee of people with other agendas means I determine the sucess or falure of my creations.

I've lurked around many great WW communities for some time now. But this is the first time I've participated in any way. I look forward to being part of this community.
