Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! I’ve been looking for a forum like this for quite a while. I used to live in coastal Maine, where I had a small shop where I specialized in antiques restorations, custom furniture, and prototype crafts/woodenwares for the tourist trade. I enjoy rehabilitating old machinery and collect old woodworking planes. Since moving to Manitoba, it’s difficult to find like-minded woodworkers, because wood is scarce here and very pricey.
Thanks again for making me feel welcome! I hope to be able to contribute to this forum!
