We purchased our first house almost a year ago. Unfortunately, the 4 car garage attached to an acceptable house, was not available in our price range. :)

For now I am forced to utilize a 18’ x 24’ attached garage. I am finding time here and there to work a bit on it, between home related projects.

Eventually I plan to add another garage to the back and make a 18 ’ x ?? workshop area. I will try to take pictures and update as I work on my garage.

Updated layout – 10# of crap in a 5# bag – haha

I will plan to take some pics of the actual garage soon!

UPDATE: 3/8/13 – I finally pulled the trigger… 3HP Sawstop PCS with a 36” fence is on order. I have been saving for a few years and was waiting for a promo to push me over the edge. I told my wife around December, “OK if they have a promo this year, I’ll buy one”. Once I received the “Free mobile base” promo, I called up the tool place that quoted me a few years ago and placed my order!

Pneufab, it sounds like you have a good idea of what you want. Bummer about the house with the 4 car garage. That would have made a nice shop. But you have a nice start on your shop right now. Even if you have to put a vehicle in there you can still have enough room to put in a pretty good shop. Good luck on getting all of it for a shop space though. I have often said that I am glad we put in a third garage in our walk-out basement when we built that I later converted into my shop. If I had to ask my wife to put her vehicle outside so that I could have some room for my shop I would be outside before her car would be.

I am looking forward to seeing pictures of your shop as you update it.
