Phil's Workshop Phil's Workshop Phil's Workshop

Woodway, TX
United States

Garage workshop in process. I share space with 1 or 2 cars (wife’s car has to go in, mine gets banished for long periods depending on what I am working on). The garage faces just W of N, but still gets a lot of late afternoon sun in the Texas summer.

The south wall (1st picture) has the workbench, planer, table saw/router, and storage. I’m in the process of emptying the metal shelving unit on the far right so I can shift the other storage shelves over and make room for (hopefully) a dust collector & bandsaw.

The west wall (2nd picture) has the jointer & pancake air compressor, along with paint/finishing supply storage and general storage (bikes, brooms, lawn chairs, etc).

The east wall (3rd picture) has the rolling lumber cart (inspired by some posts here before I joined), the miter saw, drill press, and spindle sander (in small rolling cart). The cabinets hold hardware, supplies, and small tools. The right window opens & I usually set a fan in it for cooling in the summer.

- Craftsman 113-series table saw with router table on rolling cabinet
- Standing drill press
- Porter Cable 10” Compound Miter Saw
- ?? Standing Drill Press (salvaged from a factory shop closing by my father-in-law)
- Jet 6” Jointer
- Dewalt 10” portable planer
- Ridgid oscillating spindle sander
- Bosch 1617 router
- The usual assortment of other hand and power tools

I couldn’t have put this shop together without my father-in-law. He passed down the saw & cabinet, drill press, and jointer when he bought new ones.
