Hi Lumberjocks – I’ve been quiet for a while but that’s because it’s been very busy my side…. we just moved house (now I have a proper workshop!! – more about that another time ;-) our 2nd set of twins are nearly 1 (the others are 4) and we found out our fifth child is arriving in January. Hi fellow woodworkers, I mentioned earlier in the blog that I was working on a book which is now complete and due for launch in May 2014 in South Africa. I don’t know what the availability will be outside of South Africa and would love to chat to anyone with connections and ideas for other markets if that might be a possibility. hi all, just a quick update on the book, the publishers have agreed to do an enhanced ebook. (So although you get the standard “e-pub” version with / without flowable text, it is basically just an electonic version of the print copy – these will also be available as a basic replica of the print version). The enhanced ebook however features dynamic content such as a rotatable 3D image, assembly sequence animations with voice overs and I will even add some of the speed ...

While I really love woodworking I also discovered a new love recently: opening a box of my new books from the publisher and smelling that new book smell, and seeing my name on the cover;-) I guess my first love in life however is my family and that is the other thing this book is about so it’s been a great week as a 3 year long project comes to fruition and my 3 loves of family, books and woodworking come together.
