this is a door i made 20 years ago , for my then new home .i worked in a production cab. shop at the time ,and built it after work in that shop ,every morning one of the owner’s would say ,” that’s a nice door , but get it out of here ,we need the room ” . not really true , as it was stashed away in a corner of the shop .so i was under pressure to finish it !it is 3’ 6” x 6’ 8” x 1 3/4” ( 42” x 80” x 1 3/4” ) exterior ent...

Part 2: table base ready

well i’ve been busymaking the base for my old doorfor the back deckand here it is.and here are some details of the buildthis is the corner connectionhad to use carriage bolts‘cause that’s what i have so i glued and screwed blocks to the railsand bolted thru themthis re-enforces the cornerand the leg(notice the drain holes against the rail for rain).here is the cross barsfor when i flip the door over(it’s the same on both sidesthe eagle just looks the other way)i did a ...
