I enjoy woodworking, for fun and refreshment. A retired farmer & professor, I am a husband, father, grandfather, neighbor & community volunteer. Lately, I've developed what is, for me at least, a whimsical & decorative way of using up scrap & found woods & of being green. At the same time. some of the items are useful, attractive, tactile & symbolic -- and they are ways of using up scrap & found woods & of being green at the same time. It keeps me interested & seems to please lots of other folks.

I’m a retired farmer & professor who enjoys making whimsical objects of scrap wood. Some of them useful & some are decorative. I am also a husband, father, grandfather & neighbor; I do community volunteering; and I sometimes help in & around the house. PATCHWOODS is the name my wife gave to my current woodworking projects. My website displays a sampling of them. I will appreciate comments & helpful suggestions. Hopefully, I’ll post a few photographs here within a short time.

See the drop-down box underneath my Lumberjocks in the upper right hand corner. Click on the arrow and select which type of posting you want to make (Project, Blog entry, Forum topic). This will take you to the appropriate page and you just fill in the form.
Sending Private messages(PMs) to other members
Click on the word” home” next to the profile picture of the member you want to contact ,then click on “send message”

Geeze, the Google map you posted makes it look like you’re REALLY out in the BOONIES. I think I had to click the “back out” button 2 or 3 times before it even showed you’re in Canada LOL

Thanks for the comments. I erred in locating us in lake country, Canada, but it’s fixed now. I think I’m getting the hang of this great site. It’s potential is simply phenomenal!
