I am a 59 year old having returned back homel and have access to an abundance of ponderosa pine lumber that I enjoy creating wood art out of. I have recently slabbed approximately 2000 brd/ft. of blue stain that I plan on creating different pieces with. I am a novice at intarsia but I am really enjoying it. I just ordered my first flap sander and band saw. I have been using my trusty old scroll saw and vertical sander and they have been working fine but I plan on taking my work to a different level. I recently finished a piece and will post it I hope everyone likes the design.

Reserve, NM is in the southwestern part of the state right in a little place called the GILA WILDERNESS. The Gila is the first area proclaimed a wilderness by Aldo Leopold. We are 3 hrs. southwest of Albuquerque, 1 hr. north of Silver City and 30 minutes from the Arizona border. I used to be the Plant Manager in Espanola at the sawmill site. Come visit us some day.
