I am retired and my wife is newly retired, We have a small farm raising sheep, goats and mini-horses. We have been interested in doing some woodworking. The wife wants to try her hand at making and selling "gingerbread". So I guess we will be looking for a decent band-saw, jointer and router.

I was bugging all the experts on the site for info on many different pieces of equipment. So I thank you all and say I’m probably not done yet :).
Anyway, last month the little woman says, hon, why don’t you add-on to the garage for your work shop. I said HUH!
There is a NIB planer, bandsaw and dust collector sitting in the barn waiting for their new home to get started. Plus a jointer and lathe in the basement. Been on the lookout for a reasonable shaper or nice router setup.
The small (14×22) but efficient shop will be totally dedicated to woodworking. The metal working will be in the shop section of the garage.
Contractor says he’ll start about 15 July.

Have your say...
