Part 1: Found a no5 and no3
Now, I know you all will say you find planes for $1, but I have had no such luck. Last weekend I picked up a Stanley Victory #5 in nice shape for $20 and then stumbled on an ebay ad for a $15 montgomery ward plane “and another”. Part 2: Antique store find - skew shoulder plane (and a saw)
I really wanted a veritas or LN version of these for cleaning up tenons, but this morning I found this in an antique store. $10. Blade is marked Providence tool company. I sharpened it up and I’m really impressed what these old guys can do. The blade took a long time on the course stone to flatten but it was worth it. I think this little guy will get a lot of use.
