Hello Everyone,

Most of my tool collection is over 20 years old. I have added tools when needed and maintained the older tools so I don’t need to buy new ones. I am a lover of power tools and have few woodworking hand tools.

My table saw is a Delta contractors saw. I use the Incra TS-LS saw fence with the Wonder fence for router use. I have an Incra extension router table on the saw with the Incra router plate. My dedicated router for this setup is a Porter-Cable 1-3/4 HP model.

My Jointer/planer is a 6” Reliant. I also have a Delta 12-1/2” portable surface planer.

I use a DeWalt 12” chop saw that sits on a portable saw stand I built, modeling it after the one Norm Abram made on NYW.

I have a floor standing drill press that was made by Reliant. I made a drill press table for it from plans in Shopnotes magazine.

The Delta 14” bandsaw doesn’t get as much use as I had hoped when I bought it but it is invaluable when needed.

I made my own cyclone dust collector from plans in Wood magazine. That was fun. I have adjusted how I use it based on the layout of my different shops. My wife and I have moved 4 times in the last 5 years. This is the fourth shop I have had. Not one of them has been the same. Right now it looks like an octopus coming out of the intake as I have 4 machines dedicated to it and one additional hose for portable tools.

One of my newest power tools is a Ridgid oscillating spindle/ belt sander. I bought that about 3 years ago. Boy is it handy.

I also have an air compressor for my air tools. I was a boat mechanic many years ago and bought that for the air tools I used during that time. Since then I have added a Porter-Cable brad nailer.

I also have a variety of Ryobi cordless tools and a Porter-Cable corded circular saw. A couple of routers from PC and Ryobi pretty much round out my collection.

Thanks for reading.

The one piece of equipment I hope you have and just didn’t list is an AC unit.

You have had to get pretty creative with your workspace and moves the past few years. That makes it doubly tough for built in equipment/benches. I like the dust collector though! I hope you have named him.

Welcome to LJ’s!
