My Hand tool Experience #3: Getting side tracked...restoring more tools
Hi everyone, I picked up a box of really old rusty tools dating back to the 1940’s & 50’s and have been restoring a few. I cleaned the metal parts as best that I could and then proceeded to give the wood parts a sand back. I decided not to go overboard and keep some of the original maks and age showing, I just wanted to removed the spashed paint and grime etc. I then gave all the wood pasrts a coat of Buffing Oil. The first piece is a Disston K-1 saw: Second, a old Stanley Hand Drill: And Finally a Stanley Yankee 135A screwdriver: Beats them getting thrown in the garbage which is where they were heading! Cheers from Sunny Australia Mark
