My woodworking hobby started in my teens when I took an elective woodworking class. Much of my work over the years has been building decks, sheds, etc. which is more like carpentry . But I have built more decorative items such as an indoor plant rack, a 3-panel screen, a display stand for a bronze sculpture, etc. And recently, thanks to the encouragement of Ellen35, I've begun to learn the art of bandsaw box making. I look forward to learning from other members as I enjoy one of my favorite pastimes!

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
