Home shop tinkerer. Former machine shop inspector, I apologize in advance to all those dead quality control guys like Edwards Deming and Joseph Juran but most of my projects are born either out of curiosity, need, or obsession. Completion rate is about 30%, some projects from age 15 are still in process (I'm 64) but I also recycle a lot, quality level is usually +/- 0.25" unless otherwise stated and +/-3 degrees. Here is an example, my trebuchet of death (http://www.gunstar1.com/sunroom/Part16.htm), where I got carried away, it's not really a wood project and it really isn't a part of the project, just another shop near death experience launched out of curiosity in case you need to raise a 200 pound ridgepole without help.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a little over a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…
Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
