This week I’ve been very productive. I finished installing the sterling silver in the ebony bars. After that I prepared the surfaces of my parts and rounded over the edges of the rails and mortises. Finally, I cut the housed mortises for the rails and stretchers.
I also show you my new Lie-Nielsen Number 2 Bench Plane and talk about why I bought it and show you how it preforms.

A little late to the party on this project, but it looks like she’s coming along nicely!
This looks like a beautiful chair, but it’s not on my list right now. I’ve never built a rocker before, so I don’t have the right experience to tackle a chair like this just yet!
