I come from a family of artists, raised by my mother (interior designer & seamstress for 40 years) and sister (fire dancer and acrobatic performer). My sense of design and creativity was engrained from a young age...rearranged my furniture for fun when sent to my room on a timeout at the age of 6, have loved creating and building since. My love for woodworking came from my shop classes at the Waldorf school in San Francisco. Mostly self taught since, took class at The Crucible in Oakland CA and at Grew Sheridan Workshop in San Francisco (life changing).

Just relocated to Chicago suburbs from San Francisco and starting new venture with Bark to Blade. An idea that has been building inside me for years and am excited to see what the future holds.

We build anything from cabinets, to dining tables to cutting boards and so on. All the hardwoods are handpicked at the lumberyard. We also look to recycle old growth lumber by buying reclaimed wood. These woods are packed with history, character, life and can provide a rustic farm style feel to the pieces. All orders are custom to each client, as our portfolio continues to grow please look at our photos for inspiration on your project.

Like our page and you can get updates on your newsfeed of our daily photos and status know? The only reason we all look at Facebook!

And a final note...a huge thank you to my amazing wife, who always supports and believes in me. Without her I would not be where I am and who I am...I love you Deanna
