Since I’m new to this site I’ll start with a little background about myself. I began woodworking when I was in my mid twenties. The place where I was working at the time was a packaging manufacturing company that would receive pallets of paper with 1×4’s on the top that helped keep the banding in place. It seemed like such a waste that these 1×4 boards were being tossed once the paper was taken off of the pallets. I really knew nothing about woodworking but I felt that I could make something useful out of the wood instead of letting it go to waste. Needless to say I put the “scrap” wood to good use in several projects. Now after taking some time off from my hobby due to lack of space and other priorities I’m back in to the swing and can’t wait to start all of the projects I’ve been itching to get at the past few years.
My first commisioned project since I started woodworking again is new pew boxes for our church. I’ve created a blog on under a different domain to detail the steps of the project. I may move the site at a later date. It’s still a work in progress so I hope you will check it out and let me know what you think. The blog can be found here.
Happy Woodworking.
