I have had a long relationship with a pile of lumber that has been growing in the corner of my garage.

I haven’t taken particularly good care of it all. While I’ve mostly kept it off the concrete with 2×4 stringers, its a pile. Not a pile of good wood; it is junk, cut-offs, things I’ve pulled from curb piles … I’d love to be curating something of value, but I this pile is no home for nice things. Until this is fixed, I deserve no better.

Considering many options, I kept coming back to thoughts along the lines like below

A bit like
@mziem ’s https://www.lumberjocks.com/projects/28776
@Adrian ’s https://www.lumberjocks.com/projects/73142
@Kirk ’shttps://www.lumberjocks.com/projects/139929
@JSB ’s https://www.lumberjocks.com/projects/105015 .. and many others

A rack of gas pipes in studs and vertical sheet storage.

Imagine pipe coming out of the wall studs because I didn’t bother drawing them. This puts full sheets in the corner, followed by 2 cubbies for partial sheets, and 5 4×4 beams to hold the pipe rack. These would be 2 feet apart.
