a gas-pipe lumber rack #5: post installation

I chose to give some color to these posts with a couple of coats of Danish oil “oak”. This stain drys with a little bit of a chalkiness, so i followed with a pair of clear Danish oil coats. The result: Its a bit old-timey like the color of an oak kitchen cupboard from 1972. I bolted the top to the ceiling rafter with a pair of 3/8 lags which I painted black. And put brackets unto the cinder block with tapcons. This would all likely be enough for support. But, I thought that perhaps if it was to fall, the whole garage should come down with it.
