Location: brooklyn, new york (greenpoint)

I'm a musician/producer/engineer from Montgomery, AL now residing in Brooklyn, Ny. I'm a self-taught wood and metal worker and was influenced greatly by my father who was a builder and a do it yourself champ. I studied film and audio engineering at Auburn University and Full Sail University where my creativity was, for the most part, kept at bay by the workload but occasionally reared it's head when certain necessities at home couldn't be afforded so they were made by hand; Anything from say -shelves to a table, a desk for a music workstation, or racks for electronics and audio gear, etc. One thing that has always brought me joy besides making art is making the workspace or studio more functional and that environment more comfortable, inspiring, and productive. I now live in Greenpoint, an area on the northside of Brooklyn where I've committed to full-blown artist- status! yay. I work in metal and wood as an independent contractor and an audio editor. I've always had a thing for functional art due to my roots but am exploring decorative, visual art, and projects that remove the functional aspect. It has allowed me to be more creative and efficient at expressing the idea or bringing a work to completion. I am a passionate musician and my heart is in producing my original music and compositions that by technicality are electronic because I basically act as the entire band as well as the engineer, producer, editor, even mastering engineer. This requires a computer-based style of writing and sequencing but the music I make is often founded by a real instrument. Toying around on the guitar or keys will always provide and result in a purer form of musical expression for me and that instant gratification and ability to write music that is from within. The past has shown that my creative efforts and energy is best managed by a trade-off between that computer audio/visual side of me, and my natural ability with my hands and tools.
