Daily Shop Log #1: Dogholes, Bicycle, and Door
Today I drilled 2 rows of 3/4” dog holes into my bench for the face vice. I had tried using bolts droped into 3/8” holes in a single line. It would grip a panel, but wasn’t really useful because of not enough surface area doing the clamping caused a lot of wobble. The 2 lines with 3/4 oak dowels for dogs works much better. I also put a new chain on my daughters bike. I think she’s happy, she had looked pretty sad watching the other kids ride. And, I glued up the 6 – panel pocket0 door I had been working on for our bathroom. Should be able to hang it today. Project Post coming soon.
