Salt and Pepper Mills
I started working on thees Mills a couple weeks ago, One set for my mother’s 90th birthday and the other for my wife’s Christmas present. The wood is Patagonia rosewood, first time working with this wood. It is very dense and heavy, but turns well and takes a finish wonderfully. I sanded to 400 then buffed with ultra fine scotch-bright pad, then polished with Yorkshire grit and finished with three coats of OB shine juice. Here is a couple more pics, the last one is how the raw wood looks.
