Resaw Capabilities - 3 replies

I bought a 14” Craftsman Professional band saw a few weeks ago with the intention of adding a riser block kit so I could resaw larger pieces. I could get some of the parts of the kit to work with some modifications, but not all the parts so I have given up on making it 12” resaw capable. After much thought/disappointment I am wonde...

Craftsman 12" Professional Band Saw - 2 replies

A few weeks ago when I bought this saw, its plastic “feet” were missing. Does anyone know where I can fide these? Craftsman Parts Direct says that they are unavailable. Thanks

Broken Band Saw Blade - 8 replies

A few weeks ago I bought a 12” Craftsman Professional band saw for a decent price and in beautiful condition except missing the table insert and leveling pin. I installed new Blue Max tires on it and tuned it up. Tensioned up the blade and turned it on, ran like a champ for about 10 seconds and the 1/4” blade snapped. I had the te...

Need A Couple Of Parts For My Craftsman Band Saw - 2 replies

Bought a Craftsman 12” band saw a few days ago and need a couple of parts for it. It’s a model 137224320. I need a table insert (2 1/2”) and the pin that goes in the edge of the table where the blade goes through. Sears Parts Direct doesn’t have them. Any help in finding these will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Bandsaw Blade - 2 replies

Been away for a while from here and my wood working. I’m back with a question about my used bandsaw. It is a 14” Sears Craftsman Professional with 1 1/2 hp motor. It is a Taiwanese made saw model # 137224140. It came with a 1/4” blade and I was wondering if I can do a wider one? Thanks

idgid Table Saw - 2 replies

What is Ridgid’s now equivalent to their old TS 3612? What are the real differences in the new saws and the older saws?

A Good Reason To Gloat - 1 reply

Yesterday was a “happy day” at the Saw Dust Saw Shop. That’s what I call my little garage/wood shop. I received my new 24/30 Align-a-Rip XRC fence system to replace the original fence on my old 113 Craftsman TS. This was pretty cool to me in itself. Now for the “gloat part”. My sister-in-law gave me a DeWalt DW...

Cross Cut Sled - 12 replies

I have really been researching cross cut sleds as of late. The one William Ng builds on You Tube seems like a very nice one, however I can’t decide whether to build one or buy a ready made one. Also, what size is most recommended? What is the opinion here? Thanks

Craftsman Fence Rails - 1 reply

I have a Craftsman 315 series saw with a 12/24 Align-a-Rip fence. I was thinking about replacing it with a new Vega Pro 50, but have gotten it to working quite well. I’m wanting to lengthen the rails so I’ll have more area to the right of the blade. Does anyone know of an extrusion company that has this shape of extrusion. If I c...

Ship Lapping Walls - 4 replies

Not sure if this is the right place for this or not. I’m going to start ship lapping the walls in our river house. It’s a double-wide trailer. Not a prefab house or a manufactured home, but a trailer house. Anyway, I finished a bath in bead board and it turned out great for my first ever project that big. Now the wife wants me t...

Out Feed Table - 3 replies

Not sure if this should’ve been put in woodworking projects or here. I want to build an out feed table for my 113 series Craftsman TS. I want it moveable where I can separate them for storage. I know this is highly subjective and there are many videos on building them, but I wanted the opinions here. What dimensions would you suggest? ...

New Pulleys and Link Belt - 5 replies

I am “hot rodding” the 113 series 10” Craftsman table saw my dad gave me. I already posted a new blade thread and have decided on the narrow kerf Freud 30 tooth Glue Line. I am restoring an old Biesemeyer fence system for it have a set of Sears casters an am going to order new pulleys and a link belt for it. I read somewhere...

New Table Saw Blade - 25 replies

Been asking around about how to really tell if my table saw’s blades are dull. Have decided to replace the blades on both saws. One of the saws is a 113 series 10” Craftsman and the other is the 315 series. One is at my regular house and the other is at the vacation house, so probably will get two of the same. Most of what I̵...

Table Saw Fence - 16 replies

New guy here with a fence question. I inherited a 113 series Craftsman ts from my dad with the original fence, which is a nightmare with having to measure every time I cut. I also have a 315 series a friend gave me which is like new and has the Align-a-Rip fence on it which is good, but after using the 113 I still measure each time I move it. ...
