Hi! I was looking for wood carving workshops in Copenhagen and came across this website and your profile! I have just recently moved to Copenhagen and I am very interested in learning wood carving from some people that know what they are doing! Sorry, I was not able to send you a private message because I need to have at least five comments before I can send messages that is why I am writing all that in the comment. Do you yourself give wood carving workshops ? Or do you know anybody here doing so? I would be interested in visiting your working studio too! Looking forward to your reply. Greetings/ Natalia

Mads, I have always loved your shop. It's such an interesting shop and I have always loved the projects which you generate our of it. It will now be so much the more interesting since you have added some blacksmithing work. Your interests and determination has always amazed me. Have fun.

"Talje" would be "pulley" I think.
The English term for centrally powered machinery would be "line shaft" machines.

    Cheers!

Hi guys, sorry I missed this.
I think also its a wheel for a rope or perhaps for old machines, where you had one centred motor for all the shop machines (don't know the English word either).
Tak Ty, those were kind words so I have a big smile here.
    Best of my thoughts,
    Mads

    Hi mafe

You are very good at old tools, so im wondering if you know what this is. I picked i up yesterday north of Copenhagen, while bying some old chisels.

Its a slap of very old wood and hard like stone with a metal insert like it was ment for spinning. I dont know if its a danish thing or a more generel thing.

Just cleaned up on my buddy list, some had been away for more than 600 days others 100… So I have tried to remove after this.
It had grown so big that even writing a message was a seach item.
Nothing done to show a view on any person.

    Hello;
First sorry for my spelling defective. Not mastered the language and helped me with the Google translator.
I joined recently to LJ, and since I found your page, I've had very good times reading your blogs and projects. I look really cool, plus they are always beautifully presented.
Thank you for the good times happen and I do all the things I learn reading you.
    Kind regards from Spain.

Hi, those are quite beautiful things you are making. I don't know what the half of them are but, it is an art to make tools and things that will help make more art! Thank you for all the advices. As soon as I saw these chairs on the internet I like them, so I got them for half the price ,but still they weren't cheep. After looking on them closely I could see that they have been stained and it is thin plywood. They have a mark "DUX made for export." I looked online and similar ones where design by Erik Kierkegaard model 56

    Hi,
I just saw these comments thank you!

Anthony, that was really nice of you. (The truth is I am just a big child, but do not tell anyone here on LJ about that…).

RG, that is a wonderful mess, and a dream for me.

Wayne, thank you also, I am touched.

Bill, I might use you as mentor!

    Jamie, where are you hiding?

I just wanted to stop by and say Hello, Your work is really insperational to me. I find much of what you do beautifully designed and constructed. Your enthusiasm comes through my monitor like team of wild horses chasing me right in to my shop.
At first i would stumble upon your work and posts, now i seek them out with anticipation.

Thanks for sharing your work so generously.

Hey Mads. I remember you mentioned how you wanted to learn how to be a jeweler in one of these threads. I found this while I was going through my stuff and I though of you.

A jewelers desk is a hell of a mess. You can still make gems Mads, but you can do it in a much cleaner shop.
