Website:
Retired mechanical engineer. Previously self-emplyed for 24 years -- specialties automation, robotics and special purpose machine design. All the skills learned through woodworking seemed to apply. Things like paying attention to small details, thinking in 3-D, planning the right way to do something to make it easier, better, etc. -- big help.
I have been building stuff my entire life. When I was about 5 my grandmother would give me a nickel and I'd go to the hardware store and buy nails. Then I'd pound them all into a piece of wood until they were all gone. Born to be an engineer and woodworker.

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.

Do you have the design plan for the bunk bed that you made? I have been looking for something like that everywhere.
Have your say...
