I see you get constant compliments for your curent avatar. Well here is one more. Twice through the whole series, including the new ones, and I still have missed a lot.
Hello Lew..Its your old buddy Amos.. Sorry it took so long to get back to you…I had a few physical problems..and with that comes financial problems..but I have taken care of it !! I got a new computer today..and was very happy to see your stiilll alive and making beautiful woodworking projects..I went to your web site.. I was very impressed. I hope this message finds you and your family well..as myself and mine are..Merry Christmas
It's real fiberous wood. the cottonwood plugged up the goudge, took forever to sand and i never could get a good finish on it. I'm sure there are ways to work it more successfully but it just wasn't very much fun.
thanks for the tip on drying that bowl, i've been wanting to make some for a while, but haven't taken the time bc I didn't know how to keep em from cracking. Now that I do, I think I'll give it a go.
hey lou..i.ve been busy with the holidays..its cold in illinois..but I thank you for your comment on my grill caddy ..the next one I make will be bigger ..you are right!! your buddy Amos
Thanks for the link lew and you may rip me off whenever you wish buddy. I wouldn't put projects up on a site full of such talented woodworkers if I didn't expect the get copied. Turn on bro!
Thanks for the nice comments about the bowls. A good place to get zebrawood I have found is at Middletown lumber in Middletown, pa. They have a huge assortment of different woods.
