Location: Rosswood, BC

Retired military, 24 years of service. Took a timberframers course last fall. I love wood. Mainly because it doesn't lie to you. Plan on building my timberframe house this fall, once I finish my a course on building the rumford fireplace.
Married for 25 years to my lovely wife Marsha, 2 dogs, one parrot that swears alot ( not sure where he picked that up), and one spotted pleco.

I'm a chainsaw kinda guy, but would like to start refining my skills, just finished a japanese style toolbox, and that project taught me alot.

Living in northern british columbia I have the misfortune of seeing alot of skookum wood getting wasted. Cut and let to rot...this really upsets me.

I think that wood is one of gods greatest gifts that he gave us.

I'm a bit of a joker as well. I took life very serious for about 24 years, so now I just kick back and enjoy the moment.

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

Please enjoy your membership.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
