So I just got done building my first router table, by cannibalizing an old work bench I had built a few years ago, and stealing the plate from my other router table, my problem due to my limited and crowded work space, is keeping things with in reach, I have four router bits that I use religiously so having them with right there with in reach is more convenient for me, so i came up with the fence storage on the back side of the fence, this way here, I can keep my router bits with in reach, a couple pencils, my router bit wrench, and a tape measure, and if i need to clamp a featherboard to the fence i still have plenty of room to do so. Now this set up works well for me, For some one else this might not work for them, and that’s fine. When your building an organization project, You have to build it to meet your needs, not somebody else’s. After all it is your workshop you have to best determine what is going to work best.
