Hi everyone,

Thought it was time to fill this in.

About me. For many more years than I'd care to admit I've always been in the construction industry, mainly residential remodeling. I've been around every kind of tool associated with the trade and have used them through out most of my life, for business and for my own personal pleasure. I've recently gotten the serious woodworking bug after a little push from my better half. She's always loved the things I've built and has been around me long enough to have learned what quality building practices are and also what I feel makes for high quality wood furniture craftmanship. Now she's gotten it in her head that since I know what it should look like I should also be able to make it. Who am I to try and change her mind! :) She's always encouraging me to make things for our home instead of buying them, so here we are. I'm now buying lots of tools and lumber, building a workshop, and taking on more projects than I probably have time for, all with her blessing!

Luckily I've found LJs and all of you great people, without whom I'd never have gotten off the ground in my newly found calling.

Thanks for taking the time.

Kenny D

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
