I have been working with wood on and off for many years but started serious working in the craft from about 2000. I produce fine pieces of handcrafted woodworking using mainly solid woods. I have made things from photo screens, picture frames, memory boxes and shelving units. To entertainment units, beds and tables. I work out of a small work shop in the basement of my home in Kanata Ontario Canada and spend as much time their as I can. I share my life with my wife, two children and various pets.
I owe my love for woodworking to my father who has been a hobbyist woodworker for many years. As a boy I spent many hours playing in the sawdust on the floor of his basement work shop.
Most of my projects seem to be commissions for family and friends but I also have made many pieces for others.
I find inspiration for my projects from reading books and magazine about woodworking, surfing the internet and talking with other woodworkers.
My goal is always to make the best handcrafted piece of woodworking I can. As well as challenging myself in design and construction of each and every piece.
