My roommate and i have had a lathe for around a year now and only had the old tools that came with it. they were not very good and we didnt use it much because its a bit much to start with. i had been reading about carbide tools for some time but the cost it what kept me away. I saw the rockler set was on sale for $100 over the US thanksgiving weekend so thought it might be worth the try. I am very impressed already! so much easier to use! I didnt want the regular one but got the heavy duty instead. I was planning on using this for grinding on metal and cutting metal. So i decided to go to harbor freight and buy a few of these then buy 1 good one and keep it in a special location (pain in the butt). I just use these for rough cutting and measuring stock. i dont use this if its under 1”. I work as an engineer as we use metric at work. I love having this thing at work. No one will ever steal it becau...

When i was just starting out woodworking i didnt know anything about tools. I went to school for engineering and did mostly metal working. From this i knew i didnt want a tiny little tool that wouldnt work worth a darn and to make sure that the model i bought was common enough to get parts and accessories. After searching google for table saw review and beginner table saw i found the bosch 4100-09. It was just what i thought would be perfect. A portable table saw for moving apartments. It ran...
