Well , Had friday off, so planned to spend my whole 3 days in shop mostly and relaxing, had a buddy coming over to help me tile my bathroom floors, while cleaning the bathroom out of everything because i also made a new vanity to install, not wanting to go upstairs with all the bathroom stuff, i ducted across the hall into my 2 oldest boys room and leaned over to place them on the desk, a drop of water smacked my neck, turnin upward , and there was my detour, ceiling bowing hard with drops forming everywhere, placed a plastic tote below when i poked a drain hole and let it rain, quickly took everything out of room, put some tarps down, knowing where this was going, i got kids off to familys house, and spent the next two hours gathering up everything i would need, when i returned , i see that from the section i poked back to wall , about 4 feet, and the span of room was smashed into the floor, insulation everywhere. Since i was pretty sure my insurance was gonna do the song and dance i kept with the plan and started gutting out everything, salvaging what insulation i could , this went on for about the next 15 hours, when all said and done by saturday evening, that room, the hallway, and the room next to my sons room, were with out ceiling, all debris cleaned up, carpets shampooed best i could with my crap shampoo’er, slapped stappled some real thick poly to the underside of the trusses, to separate us from the hell up there as i knew it would be a few days till i would be able to get some sheet rock, on a brighter note between a few hours yesterday and a few today after work me and my bud got my bath knocked out, ill post pics tonight if anyone cares to see, hey thanks ya’ll for letting me whine, if anyone has any feedback , im all ears, was a first time thing on just about every move i made thru out, thanks everyonePhotobucketalmost donefinished with cleanup

Ugly… just ugly… what a way to spend the weekend.
Sorry ‘bout that!

Are you asking for suggestions and ideas as to how to repair this? If so I can make a few as I have done this a few times. If not, then I feel for you as it is a downer to come into a room and see the cealing almost to the floor. And you’re right, it IS an ugly mess to have dropped on you (no pun entended). Really changes the days game plan quickly.
