Hi, I'm Josh from Pittsburgh. Let's go Pens! I'm new to woodworking as a hobby. I have done some projects like a basement workbench, storage shelves, a reloading bench (also into shooting sports and handload my own ammo) and other crude projects using mostly 2x4 and ply.

I am looking to start learning the finer aspects of woodworking. I've always appreciated nice wood furniture, crafts, art, and home decor. I am in the process of putting together a collection of tools and supplies. Since money is a factor, I'm adding equipment as I go. As of now, my work area is not ideal. A small damp garage and basement. It's a rented house, and looking to move next spring. A nicer work area will be a factor in finding a new place.

I'm looking forward to taking in the massive amounts of info here and getting into discussions on the forums. I also love the review section here. So many well written reviews. I will refer to it often in my on going quest to acquire tools.
